The camper is wrapped and ready for the road! The wrap is one of the few things that we did exactly according to our plan from the very beginning. We decided early on that we wanted to take a bit of Belize with us wherever we go, so we picked out four photos from our extensive Belize photo collection that would fit well on the two sides, and the front and the back. We worked with Pentagram in Belmopan, and while there are a few things we would do differently if we had to do it again, we got exactly what we wanted.
Frank Madrid, the owner of Pentragram, worked with us to make sure our photos were high quality, and to position them on the camper.
While we initially thought we might have the wrap done in the big barn at the farm, Pentagram decided that it would be more efficient to do it at their place where they had access to all of their tools. So, we camped in their parking lot for six nights…more on that in the next post.
They put the wrap on in four foot sheets. The whole thing was covered pretty quickly, but getting it smoothed over each rivet and seam was quite time consuming.
The driver’s side is the view over the Macal River valley from the top of CheChemHa waterfall.
The back is one of the limestone walls in Ka’ax Tun, a small park behind our village of 7 Mile/El Progresso.
The passenger side is a waterfall in the Mayflower Bocawina Park. The dogs are the resident Pentagram dogs, Gaia and Rogu. How can you not like working with a company where every day is bring your dog to work day?
The front is a sunrise from Placencia.
Since we will be traveling with dogs, Pentagram made us a special sign to paste on by the camper door. We didn’t want to say DANGER or BEWARE because if we ever want to stay in a campground we don’t want to give the impression that we have dangerous dogs, but we also don’t want somebody to open the door and let them out without knowing they’re inside. “We have dogs!” covers it.
