We left Teotihuacan and drove to Queretaro to spend a couple of days with our friends Danny and Alan. We’ve had a wonderful time being wined and dined, touring Queretaro and the surrounding area, and meeting Danny’s family.

The first morning we were in Queretaro we took the dogs for a walk in the city. It has been a relief to be able to walk the dogs on the streets without having to worry about packs of street dogs wandering loose. Plus, this is a beautiful city. This is the aquaduct, also known as the Arcos, which runs across the city.

Last night, we had the pleasure of meeting most of Danny’s family who lives locally. They had a family cooking fiesta which resulted in a delicious dinner of carne asada, grilled nopales, rice, beans, guacamole, and lots of other delicious food. The nieces and nephew who also visited are not in the picture, but they were the most helpful with teaching me Spanish.
